Fence Guard
People Counter
Axis Fence Guard
Monitors a virtual fence and sends an alarm if a person or object crosses the fence. The alarm is used by Arcules to record video and alert security staff.

Fence Guard Application
Prerequisites
Chrome browser
Access to Axis camera webpage
Access to the Axis camera you intend to use
Firmware 7.x and higher
Latest version of the application software
How to Install
Step 1: Download the software, install and enable the application in the camera webpage
Download the software from the AXIS Fence Guard page
Access the camera webpage
Open the Settings menu and navigate to the Apps tab
Click + Add and select the appropriate software file then click Install
Toggle on Start and you should see the Status update from "Stopped" to "Running"
Step 2: Configure the analytic directly in the camera webpage
Click Open to begin configuring your Fence Guard profiles.

To reduce false alarms, use filters to ignore objects such as small animals, light beams from passing cars and quickly moving shadows.
Use profiles to create multiple configurations, for example for daytime and nighttime or for different parts of the scene. Each profile has its own settings and generates its own alarms.

Step 3: Add the camera in Arcules and enable Camera Analytics
Refer to this guide for step by step instructions on adding a camera
Once the camera is added, click on the device and navigate to the ANALYTICS tab. Then, click + ADD ANALYTIC.

Select AXIS Fence Guard and click ADD.

Once this operation is complete you will see the analytics you configured in the camera webpage reflected in the Camera Analytics section.

Step 4: Set up Rules for handling alarms
Click the link button to set up a Rule for a fence guard analytic.

Fill in the appropriate details for your rule and define who should receive the notification when an event triggers for the alarm. You can learn more about Rules in our Rules Article.

Axis People Counter
Counts and reports the number of people entering and leaving a specific area. Trigger an alarm and/or notification based on counter values set.

How to Install
Step 1: Download the software, install and enable the application in the camera webpage
Download the software from the AXIS People Counter page
Access the camera webpage
Open the Settings menu and navigate to the Apps tab
Click + Add and select the appropriate software file then click Install
Toggle on Start and you should see the Status update from "Stopped" to "Running"
Step 2: Activate the license in the camera webpage
Enter the license code into the Automatic license field and click Install
Click Open
Re-enter the license code into the Registration code field and click Send
On the next page, validate the information then click Save settings and enable counter
Step 3: Configure the analytic directly in the camera webpage
In the Settings tab, configure your counter parameters.
